It’s been a super week here on the Frisendahl Homestead….home of Sage Brush Fuzzy Butts:)
I hope all of the moms out there had a wonderful Mothers Day, that it was relaxing and fun and everything you wanted it to be! 🙂 My wonderful husband made it a wonderful day and I’m always so thankful for him.
Planting of veggies, herbs and perennials have all been done with the only things left to do….some annuals in hanging planters and patio pots, but I always wait til after Mothers Day for this since I’ve succumbed in the past to all the pretties and sure enough we get a frost that sizzles everything, no matter where I live, east coast or west coast. Live and learn my friends!
On a more personal note, we have a new granddaughter who is on her way and making this known to my son and daughter in law, I had been hoping and praying she’d come on Friday the tenth since it’s my grandpa, my sons great grandpa and would be Charleigh Jaye’s great great grandpa’s birthday, but nope…she was a no show. Oh well, we all know these kids come when they come.
As I write this, I’m sitting outside and it’s a glorious morning. I love this and have done a couple of posts about the homestead mornings. Sitting here listening to the “egg song” going on in the hen houses is the sweetest. Thank you ladies for your beautiful eggs, I say this to them every night as I tuck them all in and do a final head count….which gets longer all the time 🙂
On Friday Larkin and I enjoyed some “mommy and me” time by going over to see Linda Colville, my little Larkin just had to have a very small and minor procedure done. Then it was off to the Dutch Bros. for a coffee drink and home. Of course Larkin was a hit at the DB, with them saying “If you let us pet your goat the drink’s on us” well alrighty then! Who can resist that sweet Pygmy face anyway….jus sayin’. I love getting to spend a little time with Linda and learn so much about Pygmies and learning how she got started with them. Also going over and seeing the littles all growing….the ones I’ve seen since birth and now growing up….some even starting “families” of their own!
Our grandson, Noah was here on Thursday morning and was a nice little helper for Mimi and of course enjoyed getting dirty and playing in mud like kids should do! He loves coming to our house since he gets to enjoy the farm and I’m a huge advocate of kids being kids, getting outside and playing, not being inside on computers, TV, video games and phones. We all grew up in what I call, the right way and so did my kids who are in their early 30’s. They got out and played!!
I hope you enjoy the Perfect Moment Monday photos and if there’s something you like me to write about, just comment….I’d love to hear from you.
